Anita Janowsky
Candidate for Alternate Delegate
District Attorney / County Attorney / Public Administrators

My career with the District Attorney’s Office started in August of 2009 working as a Legal Secretary and currently hold the position of Legal Secretary IV working with the Investigations Division.

During my time with Nassau County, it has not been uncommon for peers to approach me when they needed help with something, and we would figure out a solution.  As a current Vice President of our 200 member unit my conscience has been unbreakable when it comes to being on the correct side of the issues.   We are comprised of members from the District Attorney’s Office, Public Administration and the County Attorney’s Office.  I feel that it is not only a positive challenge to help continue the work that the union does to protect the members and their families, but I also consider it a privilege.  Being in a union family my entire life, my heart has always been involved with unions and I have enjoyed every second of being a union activist in our unit

More recently I’ve accepted the role of delegate with Kris Kalender’s team.  Kris Kalender stands for unity, teamwork and union values.   Together we will work and fight for all the members.  Our union leaders can never forget about the families that rely on us for so many benefits.
