As an Accountant Assistant II, my career has spanned over 25 years working for Nassau Health Care Corporation in which 23 of those years were working in the Patient Accounts Department and being an active union member of CSEA.

I have been the Unit Treasurer/Advocate since 2023. As the treasurer, my responsibilities are keeping accurate records of all income and expenses, financial reporting to CSEA Local & State and IRS.

My role as the treasurer is not limited to just handling the finances. I have been trained as a Grievance/Discipline Rep.  In this role, I’m tasked with managing employee complaints, being a liaison between employees and management/administration to assist with any and all workplace concerns/issues; to work with management/administration to uphold union agreements & to advocate for employee’s rights, assuring strong labor management relationships to ensure fair treatment and compliance is done.  I also serve on the Local 830 Social Committee.

If elected as a CSEA Local Delegate, I will work in good faith to continue to talk with new employees regarding the benefits of union membership, distribute information, recruit new members, talk to members regarding workplace issues & represent and support members and their interest to management/administration.  I am confident that my dedication and ability to make informed decision will make me a valuable asset as a delegate.
