I started my career as a Forensic Photographer for Nassau County Medical Examiner’s Office in 1996 as a part time employee. In July 1996, I volunteered for 3 months photographing and assisting the tragic crash of TWA Flight 800. This is when I knew what my career path was going to be. In March 1998, I was offered a full time position and I jumped on the opportunity. I received my MFA, Masters of Fine Arts specializing in Photography from CW Post. I was very interested in forensic science and the interaction of photography in this field.

I worked very closely with the DA’s office and Judges in transitioning over to the new digital world of photography. Although being a union member for over 29 years, it was not until later in my career where I started to get more involved with the union.

First, I was Unit Treasurer for 1 year, then Vice President for 4 years and finally Unit President for the past 4 years.

During these years I always worked for my people and advocated for the union employees. You may also recognize me as the photographer at union events and probably most notably as “Buddy the Elf” at the holiday party and handing out presents to children at NUMC in December.

In my free time I volunteer to many causes with children. I am the volunteer photographer for many different fundraising children’s organizations. I go above and beyond to make sure every child feels special. My upbeat attitude and easy going personality allows me to get along with everyone.

You will always see a smile on my face as I know I bring smiles onto the faces of others. My dedication to my career, to the union, and of course the members is always 150%. I was always told and brought up that “Actions are better than words”. In the past few years, you may of seen me at Local and Region events as the “Voice and Motivator of the Union”. Yes, I’m the guy you heard at the Union’s Rally in Roslyn motivating and fighting for our members and you will continue to hear my voice fighting for our members and our rights!

We are the Union and we ALL need to come together and Make a Change - Vote Team Kalender - Progress Through Unity!
