I have proudly worked at Nassau University Medical Center for 23 years in the Patient Accounts Department under the jurisdiction of Finance. I began my career as an Accounting Assistant I and currently serve as a Patient Accounts Supervisor. My education and financial experience give me a deep understanding of the county’s budget and how it directly impacts our membership.

As NUMC Unit President, I have been unwavering in my commitment to advocating for fair wages, better working conditions, and the rights of all members. With over 20 years of active union involvement, I bring extensive experience in contract negotiations, grievance resolution, and disciplinary representation.

In my roles as Union Steward, Discipline Representative, and Grievance Representative, I have worked tirelessly to ensure that employees receive fair treatment and due process. My participation in the Region 1 Political Action Committee (PAC) allows me to engage in legislative advocacy, while my involvement in Local 830’s Social Committee helps foster member engagement and solidarity. Additionally, I proudly serve as an AFSCME delegate, representing our collective interests at the national level.

I am running for election as your Local Vice President because I believe in our shared values and the power of collective action. With six years on the CSEA NUMC Executive Board and my term as union president in 2024, I have dedicated myself to advancing our members’ interests. I have extensive knowledge of CSEA policies and procedures and a comprehensive understanding of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Currently, I am actively leading negotiations for our unit’s contract. Throughout my tenure, I have handled hundreds of disciplinary cases, numerous grievances, and a significant number of arbitrations.

I am skilled, knowledgeable, and hardworking. More importantly, I am committed to standing with you, fighting for you, and delivering real results that matter. Together, we can build a strong, united workforce where every member’s voice is heard and respected.
